Welcome to Talbot Trout Farm, a serene, pet-friendly trout fly fishing paradise nestled between Dullstroom and Machadodorp in the renowned "Trout Triangle." Our tranquil haven in the rolling hills of the South African Highveld offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Situated near the charming village of Dullstroom, Talbot Trout Farm provides off-grid, comfortable self-catering accommodation in four fully equipped cottages, along with fly fishing in ten well-stocked dams. We warmly welcome both pets and children, ensuring that the whole family can enjoy this magical place.

Our Cottages:

• Protea Cottage: Featuring a private trout dam, this cottage has 2 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 6 people. Enjoy the cozy ambiance with a wood-burning fireplace in the lounge and a weber/gas/built-in braai on the veranda.
• Agapanthus Cottage: This cozy 2-bedroom, 4-sleeper cottage boasts a lush garden with large trees and private access to one of our trout dams. You can fish with peace of mind, knowing your dogs are safe and sound.
• Kiepersol Cottage: Luxuriously furnished, this cottage offers 4 comfortable bedrooms and a generous veranda overlooking three of our trout dams. The large garden is perfect for your puppies and children to play to their hearts' content.
• Rose Cottage: Ideal for family gatherings, this spacious cottage features 5 bedrooms, two large bathrooms (each with a bath and shower), and a huge living/dining area. The expansive stoep provides ample space for everyone to have a fantastic time.

Activities and Amenities:

In addition to fishing, we welcome mountain bikers, hikers, birders, and nature enthusiasts. Our farm offers abundant bird life, wildflowers, and endless views over the Mpumalanga highlands. Each cottage is equipped with a wood-burning fireplace in the lounge and a weber/gas/built-in braai on their respective verandas, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
